Hindu History – Part 5 (Modern India)
The Beautiful Tree Program presents Hindu History – Part 5 (Modern India), a 12-week online course for youth ages 10 and up. This course explores the extraordinary lives and struggles of inspiring leaders, thinkers, and freedom fighters from modern Indian history. It examines the impact of colonization on India and how courageous figures rose to fight for freedom — a struggle that parallels America’s own journey for independence. For youth growing up in the diaspora, these stories provide clarity and confidence in their Hindu identity, culture, and values.
Rather than simply narrating events, this course uses storytelling integrated with analysis to show how individuals shaped history through vision, sacrifice, and leadership. Students will learn how these figures protected dharmic values, inspired cultural self-confidence, and contributed to India’s national revival — lessons that remain deeply relevant for today’s generation.
