Celebrating Hindu Heritage Month & Diwali at Schools and Libraries

Calling all Adults and Youth Volunteers to lead the effort at their local libraries. Youth volunteers can take a leadership role in organizing activities at schools and libraries, where they can both educate their peers and earn valuable volunteer hours.

- Presentation on Hindu Contributions to Human Civilization: Volunteers facilitate presentations that showcase the profound contributions of Hindu civilization to various fields such as mathematics, science, philosophy, and art, highlighting the enduring impact of these contributions on human civilization.
- Cultural Displays: Setting up exhibits featuring traditional Diwali decorations, such as diyas, rangolis, and festive attire, allows participants to experience the festival’s vibrant atmosphere.
- Art and Craft Workshops: Youth volunteers guide peers in creating Diwali-themed crafts, like lanterns, greeting cards, and rangoli designs, fostering both creativity and cultural appreciation.
