Ancient Roots, Modern Life:
A Guest Podcast with Chandru Ramesh
What does it mean to be a Hindu in today’s world? How far back do our roots go? And why does knowing those roots matter for our children, families, and future generations?
Join Hindu Parents Network for a special guest podcast with Chandru Ramesh, author, researcher, speaker, and founder/director of Historika Foundations. His work focuses on bringing Hindu Dharma’s ancient history, archaeology, heritage, and civilizational narratives to a wider audience through research, documentaries, books, and educational initiatives.
In this conversation, we will explore the deep historical and civilizational foundations of Vedic culture, the sacred geography, Mahabharata, and Buddhist periods, and how families today can reconnect with their ancestral roots in a meaningful way.
What This Podcast Will Explore
- What it means to be Hindu
- The origin of Vedic culture from historical and archaeological perspectives
- The geography of ancient India during the Vedic, Mahabharata, and Buddhist periods
- How can we trace our roots
- Why roots matter for identity, confidence, and continuity
- How parents can help children feel connected to their heritage
- Why identity is not a small part of life, but a foundation for how we see ourselves and the world
Why This Conversation Matters
For many Hindu families in the diaspora, children grow up learning about India and Hindu Dharma through limited, fragmented, or often distorted narratives. Without a deeper connection to their roots, identity can become confusing, shallow, or shaped mostly by outside voices.
This conversation invites families to look at Hindu heritage and identity through a broader lens, rooted in history, geography, culture, and lived tradition. It is an opportunity to understand where we come from, why that inheritance matters, and how we can pass it forward with clarity and confidence.
