Wonder That is Bharat
The Beautiful Tree Program presents Wonder That is Bharat, a 12-week online course for youth ages 10+. This course brings to life the depth and diversity of Bharat — the world’s oldest living civilization. More than a nation-state, Bharat is a cultural and spiritual civilization that has nurtured knowledge, innovation, and values for thousands of years.
Students will journey through the stories, traditions, and achievements that make Bharat unique — from its sacred geography and temples to its pioneering contributions in mathematics, astronomy, medicine, yoga, and literature. They will discover how this civilization evolved, adapted, and spread across Asia and beyond, shaping human thought and culture in lasting ways.
What This Course Explores
- Foundation of Civilization — from the Indus–Sarasvati and Vedic civilizations to the flourishing of great cities, temples, and universities like Nalanda.
- Global Reach of Hindu Culture — how Hindu traditions spread to Southeast Asia and influenced art, architecture, and social values.
- Knowledge and Innovation — contributions to mathematics, astronomy, Ayurveda, yoga, meditation, architecture, Sanskrit, and urban planning.
- Culture and Identity — stories, festivals, temples, and pilgrimages that keep Dharma alive across generations.
